I celebrate the possibilities of video-podcasting by taking my Canon PowerShot SD 400 with me on a run from my house on W. 183 Street in Washington Heights, Manhattan to Central Park. Unfortunately I ran out of disk space just as I entered the top of the park, but I think the video is still interesting.
While running, I talk about a two-day series of workshops I will be doing with teachers the following week. These will be workshops in which we introduce weblogs, Flickr, and podcasting to teachers who (mainlyt) are not yet working with these examples of Web 2.0. We are hoping to interest them in getting involved in these forms of internet discourse and community, and to use them to document their work as writing project teachers.
On my run I try to define Web 2.0, and I talk about helping teachers find their own passions in this new territory.
